Resilience project
The stone bracelet is an analysis of the bearing of heavy experiences, expressed through the form of the object. Although it looks like a massive boulder on the outside, it is empty inside. This lightness reflects the process in which difficult experiences, after being analyzed and cared for, become easier to bear, and over time can build strength. From the inner side, the bracelet is lined with soft cotton velvet, which makes it delicate for the wearer.
Stone cairns.
For this light object, I used original 1990s gauze on the inside to explore the process of care, while the exterior is wrapped in powdered marble fused into a dense, solid form.
The medical gauze pads are from the 1990s - my big brother found them in my grandpa's old first aid kit.
I use environmentally safe and recycled materials for this projects.
